Question:  Melanie asks: "Do you feel it's a good idea to make free teleseminars an opt-in and how can that be done? "

Answer: Requiring people to sign up for a free teleseminar is definitely recommended, as it will let you add them to your database and build your list.

Here are the steps to do that:

1) Create an autoresponder with the call details for your free teleseminar

2) Create a web page on your website, or blog, or use the system generated one you can find under 'Setup'–> Site links.  You can customize this opt in page with additional copy and images. Mine looks like this: http://www.marketerschoice.com/app/contact.asp?ID=51500

3) Create a thank you page for the Opt in box, or use the system generated opt in page that you get inside your account.  Mine looks like this: http://www.marketerschoice.com/app/thankyou.asp?merchantid=51500

Or, better yet, use the Instant Teleseminar Event system that gives you a teleseminar web page automatically for you.  See and example of what that looks like on my sales page for my InstantTeleseminarTraining.com

The thank you URL for the form should be the web page that has the phone in details for the call.

4) connect your thank you page to your opt in and link up the autoresponder to that as well.
(the steps for this are different depending upon which technique you are using)

This will get people the free teleseminar info, AND buid your list in the process!

Today on my club call, was the first time I tried using the Webinar format.

It was a little bumpy, as we were all getting used to this technology.

I wanted to explain the difference between a teleseminar, a teleWebcast and a webinar:

1) Teleseminar: a teleseminar just uses the phone. All people have to do is to call in, and they are connected to the call. It's the EASIEST technology to use, because all people need is a telephone. Long distance charges may apply.

2) TeleWebcast: a telewebcast is where the user has the CHOICE of calling on the phone, or listening on their computer online. All the user has to do is to click a button and they can listen to the call on their computer, and NOT pay long distance phone charges. There is no visuals with a telewebcast unless the speaker has a handout.

3) Webinar: a webinar has the user watching on their computer as they listen on the phone AT THE SAME TIME. There is NO computer audio, just computer video and the audio portion comes through on the phone.

The visuals are live interactive video in realtime.

I believe that once I can get club members accustomed to this technology, that it will be a better way for me to train people.
