How to Setup Recurring Commissions

May 12, 2009 by Christina Hills

If you are creating a membership program, or if you have a high priced product that you would like to break up into smaller payments, then you want to create a recurring product.

A recurring product is any product that has multiple payments. The way it works is that the customer purchases, and their credit card is charged. Then on the recurring cycle, that customer's credit card is charged again at the amount you specify.

Now, as the business owner, you need to decide if you are going to pay commissions on those recurring charges. There is no one right answer, it's all up to how you want to run your business.

But, if you do, then make sure the recurring commissions box is checked.

See image below from inside your Shopping Cart Account :

You also want to decide what you want your recurring commission limit to be.  This is a setting to decide how many times you want to pay that affiliate that commission. If you pay unlimited, then  just leave that blank.

Christina,

Your courses are great, and even your blog posts are incredibly helpful. You've perfected the screen shot!

Have you ever thought about doing an Aweber mini-course. It wouldn't be as extensive as the Shopping Cart TC, but Aweber has really gotten complex since I started using it 5 years ago and I know a lot of people could use the Queen's help…or the Aweber Ace's help?

Stacey,
Yes a training on AWeber is on my todo list. I love it and want to teach it to others too!
